TNPSC is the authority, not this page. Download the hall ticket only from www.tnpscexams.in, and follow every instruction printed on it. The rules below are from Notification No. 11/2026 (para 8.1 and Annexure IV). Nextstep4u is not connected with TNPSC.

Where the hall ticket will appear

The hall ticket will be put on www.tnpscexams.in for you to download. That is the rule in para 8.1 of the notification, which calls it the “memorandum of admission”. TNPSC will not send it by post, and you will not be allowed to write the exam without it.

Results, certificate verification and counselling dates are published on a different site, www.tnpsc.gov.in (para 8.2). Only the hall ticket comes from tnpscexams.in.

How to download it

You sign in on www.tnpscexams.in with the User ID and password you created for One Time Registration (OTR), the same login you used to apply. The notification does not describe the download screen, so we do not invent one here; follow what the site shows on the day.

  • Keep your login ready. If you have forgotten it, the site has “Forgot User ID” and “Forgot Password” options. TNPSC will not tell you your User ID or password (Annexure I, para 3.1).
  • Check the printout. Your name, photograph, register number and exam venue should all be right. The answer sheet in the hall is printed from the same details.
  • Print it clearly. You must carry the hall ticket you downloaded into the exam room.
  • Need help? Questions about OTR or the online application go to helpdesk@tnpscexams.in from your registered e-mail ID. TNPSC’s toll-free number is 1800 419 0958, 10.00 am to 5.45 pm on working days (para 9).

When it is likely to come out

TNPSC has not announced the release date. For the 2022 Group 4 exam, TNPSC’s exam dashboard listed the hall ticket date as 14 July 2022, ten days before the exam on 24 July 2022. That is a past pattern, not a promise for this exam, and it is the only Group 4 hall-ticket date we found published. Check tnpscexams.in and tnpsc.gov.in from the second half of December.

Exam day, hour by hour

The exam runs from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on Sunday, 10 January 2027. The notification sets each step relative to the start; the clock times below are our arithmetic for a 9.30 am start.

OMR answer sheet handed out9.00 am
Question booklet handed out9.15 am

After the gates close, no one is allowed into the venue. Parents and others who come with you must wait outside.

What to bring, and what to leave at home

Only three things may go into the exam room: the hall ticket, a photocopy of one ID, and a black ink ball point pen (Annexure IV, para 1.6.1). The ID can be your Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN card or Voter ID card.

  • Not allowed in the hall: mobile phone, smart or digital watch, smart glasses, Bluetooth devices, pen drive or any electronic device, even if switched off.
  • Also not allowed: books, notes, loose or rough sheets, guides, maths or drawing instruments, log tables, wallet or purse, and handbags.
  • No safe-keeping. TNPSC says it cannot promise to keep your phone or bag safe at the venue, so it advises you not to bring them.
  • No food or drink (water, tea, snacks) inside the exam room. If you need medicine, the Chief Invigilator can allow you to keep it on the invigilator’s table.

If the photo on your hall ticket is wrong

If your photograph is missing, unclear or does not look like you, bring a separate photograph stuck on plain paper with your name, address, register number and signature. Give it to the Chief Invigilator with a copy of the hall ticket and a copy of your ID, and show the original ID to the room invigilator. You will be asked to sign an undertaking that you are the real candidate (Annexure IV, para 1.3.1).

OMR rules that cost marks

There is no deduction for a wrong answer, but a blank one costs marks. The notification says that if no bubble is darkened for a question, “0.5 mark will be deducted from the total marks obtained by the candidate”. The full rule, with worked examples, is on the negative marking page.

  • Never leave a question blank. If you do not know the answer, darken option [E].
  • One bubble per question. If you darken more than one, that answer is not evaluated.
  • Black ink ball point pen only. A pencil or any other pen invalidates the answer sheet.
  • Left thumb impression. If you do not put it in its box, 0.5 mark is deducted.
  • Question Booklet Number. Write and darken it exactly. A wrong or missing bubble invalidates the sheet.
  • Sign the answer sheet in its space. An unsigned sheet is invalidated.
  • Do not mark answers in the question booklet. Doing so can cost you your candidature.

Questions people ask

Has the TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket 2026 been released?

No. As of 9 November 2026, TNPSC has not released the hall ticket for the Group 4 exam on 10 January 2027, and has not announced a release date. When it comes out, it will be on www.tnpscexams.in for download.

Where can I download the TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket?

Only on www.tnpscexams.in, the Commission's website where you applied. TNPSC will not send the hall ticket by post, so you must download and print it yourself.

When will the Group 4 hall ticket come out?

TNPSC has not announced the date. For the 2022 Group 4 exam, its exam dashboard listed the hall ticket date as 14 July 2022, ten days before the exam on 24 July 2022. That is a past pattern, not a promise for this exam.

What time should I reach the Group 4 exam centre?

Reach the venue by 8.30 am, one hour before the 9.30 am start. All gates close at 9.00 am, thirty minutes before the start, and no one is let in after that. These clock times are our arithmetic from the rules in the notification.

What should I take into the TNPSC Group 4 exam hall?

Only three things: the printed hall ticket, a photocopy of one ID (Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN card or Voter ID card) and a black ink ball point pen. Using a pencil or any other pen makes your answer sheet invalid.

Can I change my Group 4 exam centre?

No. You must write the exam at the venue printed on your hall ticket, and requests to change it are not allowed. The venue will be in one of the exam centres you chose when you applied, though TNPSC may move you to a nearby centre if those are full.

What if I lose my hall ticket after the exam?

TNPSC will not issue a duplicate. The notification asks you to keep the hall ticket safely for good and to show it whenever the Commission asks, and suggests making a photocopy after the exam.

Use the weeks before the hall ticket

The hall ticket changes where you sit, not what you know. Sit full papers under real timing now, and each test here ends with a report that names the sub-topics costing you marks.
